Blair Oaks to repay Career Ladder funds

The Blair Oaks School District has self-reported and repaid $24,800 in state funding because required teacher evaluations were either not done or were missing.

At a June 12 school board meeting, the Blair Oaks School Board approved the repayment to the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education because requirements of the Career Ladder program were not met while the program was still state funded.

Career Ladder was a state and locally funded program that paid teachers extra money for extra work they did, including supervision of clubs and activities beyond school hours.
