4 arrested in attempted theft of farm equipment
Tuesday, June 26, 2012
Four men and women from Fulton and Russellville were arrested Saturday and Sunday after a Callaway County resident came home to find them leaving with his farm equipment.
The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office received a report of stealing in progress around 4:21 p.m. June 23 when a Stephens man returned to his home on County Road 269 just in time to find a truck hauling his farm machinery off his property on a trailer.
The resident pursued the suspect vehicle, which had turned east on County Road 266 from State Route DD before driving into a field with a blown tire.
Sheriff’s deputies and Highway Patrol officers responded to the area, where they found Wendell S. Belisle, 37, Fulton, hiding near the truck.
Though a search did not locate any other suspects, an overnight investigation led to the arrest of Angelia Clark, 41, Russellville; John D. Belisle,
33, Fulton; and Timothy Valdez, 48, Fulton, near Calwood and Kingdom City.
All four were charged with felony stealing and trespassing, and have been released pending court appearance.

OK Mr Judge, don't just slap them on the hands and say "Now don't do that again"! Send them all to the pen for at least 5-years each!!!
Stealing is one thing, but stealing from a farmer is another!!!
