Guard program seeks to strengthen ties with churches
Friday, June 22, 2012
The House of Prayer Family Church has made a concentrated effort to serve those who are incarcerated and their families.
A new Missouri National Guard program, Partners in Care, has called the local church to a different type of ministry, to a different kind of trauma, said the Rev. James Jackson.
The Partners in Care program creates a network of supportive, faith-based organizations, to which the Guard can turn, said Col. Gary Gilmore, Missouri Army National Guard Chaplain.
