Longhorn Steakhouse is set to reopen at 5 p.m. today
Wednesday, June 20, 2012
Longhorn spokeswoman Erica Jaeger said the restaurant management had to rebuild some of the interior, including the stonework behind the bar.
Jefferson City officials cleared the restaurant to open today, even though some of the exterior work is continuing.
Jefferson City firefighters were called to the restaurant, 3545 Missouri Blvd., about 4 p.m. last Thursday, and found smoke coming out of the building.
Investigators believe a cigarette discarded into mulch outside the building, on the west side, likely caused the fire.

What do you expect this is Jefferson City! A cat up a tree is liable to be breaking news here.
