Lincoln University Curators have approved some construction projects for the immediate-, near- and possibly long-range future.
The board approved a $214,000 contract with Watkins Roofing, Columbia, to replace the roof on the Inman E. Page Library, using a new rubber roofing system but keeping the original insulation except where it needs to be replaced.
The work also includes installing "metal coping" over the existing limestone cap on the main building, then cleaning the white effloresence that has covered parts of the brick. Curators also OK'd the "capital improvements" wish list to be submitted to state officials.
