Mahoney sad to attend last formal LU meeting

Although she doesn’t retire for another two months, last Thursday’s Lincoln University Board of Curators meeting was LU President Carolyn Mahoney’s last formal board meeting.

And she told the board she’s going to miss that contact.

In an interview later, she elaborated: “I shall miss a lot of things about Lincoln University, but I won’t miss any of it more than I will miss — believe it or not — these board meetings because of the quality of the interactions with these very fine folks.”

And, she said, that’s true even when there are disagreements and tough issues.
