To fathers and their kids, it’s more than just a game

Sports Commentary

It always bugs me when people say sports are meaningless, or that it’s only a bunch of people throwing a ball around.

I guess they’ve never really experienced the power of sports. While I could go on all day listing reasons why sports are more important than just what happens inside the lines, I’d like to focus on one example that stands out to me: The bond created among people when it comes to sports. It could be friends, coworkers, relatives, random people in a bar, whoever.

But to me, and I’m sure to many of you, there’s nothing quite like the bond a son or daughter shares with their dad when it comes to sports.
