A car struck and injured a man riding his bicycle Thursday evening on a Boone County road.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reports Daniel A. Auerbach, 33, was taken to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries after he was hit while bicycling along Route Y near Hagans Road, east of Ashland. The patrol listed his hometown as unknown.
The report indicated Jennifer K. Moyer, 38, Ashland, was driving her car westbound toward the sun, which caused a visibility problem. The car crested a hill and struck the bicycle at 6:30 p.m.
The report listed no injuries for Moyer.
