Callaway County writes off $24,200 in uncollected fees

A total of $24,199.68 in uncollected fees due the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office for services it provided for Callaway County civil and criminal cases from 2003 to 2005 have been written off by the Callaway County Commission.

Eastern District Commissioner Gabe Craighead said the commission acted on the advice of an outside auditing firm hired to audit county funds.
