Schyler Bryan of the downtown eatery Cork will participate in Monday evening's Cork & Fork fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club of Jefferson City.

For the first time, Jefferson City area residents will be able to fill their stomachs with food from 19 area chefs, taste gourmet wine and a unique selection of beers, and raise money to help local youths attend after-school programs with the Boys & Girls Club.

Cork and Fork of the Capital City will be held with samplings and a silent auction at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Capitol Plaza Hotel. A live auction will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Stephanie Johnson, executive director of Boys & Girls Club, said the event will be an annual one she hopes will help them develop and sustain a scholarship fund for children to participate at the center.
