JOPLIN, Mo. (AP) — A southwest Missouri man has been sentenced to six years in prison for receiving stolen cattle.
The Joplin Globe reports (http://bit.ly/KGsKHD) that 25-year-old Melvin J. Fincher of Rogersville was sentenced Friday in Jasper County court after pleading guilty to one count of receiving stolen property.
Fincher was arrested Oct. 22 outside the Sarcoxie Livestock Auction after he could not produce paperwork for the 10 head of cattle inside his truck. Authorities later determined the cattle had been reported stolen in Cooper County.
