It was time. Again. Chuck Register led the Helias Lady Crusaders for the first nine years of the soccer program before stepping down five years ago.

Three years into a second stint, he’s stepping down again.

“It’s time to pull in the reins a little bit and get a breath of fresh air,” Register said last week. Register, who has coached the boys program since it started and will continue to do so, said being a head coach in the fall and spring got to be too much.
