The Cole County Republican Central Committee announced Friday it will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday in the new Cole County Law Enforcement Center's Training Room, 350 E. High St.
The agenda includes "reviewing the procedure for selecting a Republican candidate to run in the November general election for the office of Cole County Circuit Clerk."
The committee asks that those interested in running as the GOP candidate contact Ron Fitzwater, chairman of the committee, or Penny Quigg, vice chairwoman.
