Widow files suit over fatal tent collapse in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (AP) - The widow of a man killed when an April storm knocked over a party tent near Busch Stadium in St. Louis is suing the bar where the collapse occurred and the company that leased and installed the tent.

About 100 people were injured in the tent collapse on April 28 at Kilroy's Sports Bar, and 58-year-old Alfred Goodman of Waterloo, Ill., was killed. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/KmEj86 ) reports that his wife, Shelley Goodman, filed suit Thursday in St. Louis Circuit Court.

It is the third lawsuit filed over the tent collapse.

Kilroy's owner Art Randall says the experience has caused extreme grief for him and his family. A spokesman for Sun Rental, the company that leased and installed the tent, declined comment.
