S. Callaway changing athletic conferences

Last year was a banner season for the South Callaway athletic program. This year, they’ll be taking that success to new surroundings.

The Bulldogs capped off the school year with a Class 2 baseball title to go along with individual state qualifiers in track and cross country and a second straight Mid-Missouri Conference title in football. This season, South Callaway moves from the Mid-Missouri Conference to the Show-Me Conference.

South Callaway superintendent Mary Lynn Battles not only commented on the success of the athletic programs, but she also spoke glowingly of the school’s other extracurricular activities.

The district’s “Quiz Bowl” competitors and the school band also were mentioned as points of pride for the school.
