Tours to feature downtown lofts, offices

Style and opportunity for downtown Jefferson City living and working will be showcased 1-4 p.m. Aug. 5 on the Hidden Spaces, Secret Places Tour.

More than 600 attended the first event in 2011.

Fifteen properties will be featured this year, up from seven last year, including finished lofts and offices, as well as those that can be developed.

And a “Hidden Treasure Hunt” will offer prizes to participants.

Parking can be found along the route with tickets for the tour at tents set up at the Ash, Madison and East High streets, and JCD Warehouse trolley stops. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Samuel’s Tuxedos, Art Bazaar or Carrie’s Hallmark or by contacting any Downtown Jefferson City board member.

The cost is $5 and includes admission, trolley transportation, coupons from participating restaurants, bottled water, “Hidden Treasures Hunt” game sheets and contact sheets.
