Sports Commentary: Hold on a SEC
Clock winding down on Missouri’s start in ‘the big leagues’
Sunday, July 29, 2012
I don’t know if you’ve noticed recently, but the girls are prettier, the air’s sweeter and evidentially, the toilet paper is thicker.
That’s what T.J. Moe said earlier this month, anyway. This move to the Southeastern Conference is already paying dividends for Missouri.
Fall practice officially starts Thursday for the Missouri football team for what almost surely is the most anticipated season in program history.
Missouri’s contingent to the SEC Media Days wasn’t quite reverential enough for some. Instead of the standard, “gosh, we’re so glad to be here,” head coach Gary Pinkel and some of the Tiger players had the temerity to say “we’ve played football before.” That riled up some of the SEC supporters, who are 100 percent sure the newbies have no idea what they’re in for this fall.

Not really into MU sports, but I think the Tiger football team is in for a big surprise.

So you're not into sports but think Mizzou is in for a surprise? What is this "surprise" you speak of? Record ticket sales a huge boost in recruiting? Those where certainly surprises!!
