So tell me again how this company did all this on their OWN? This kind of help was what Obama was talking about when he said they did not build their company by themselves! SO explain that, 2 million is a pretty good help.

No, actually it is more like that unpleasantness of 1776 and 1812. . . Get your dates right.

The success is due in large part to thankless people that do their job everyday to get things done, they are the admin assistants, the janitors, the engineers, the supervisors, and the managers. No CEO is a island of their own. It takes team effort to create success and I'm sure this company would agree. At one time in this country I understand these same thankless people could take pride in their work. now it seems they are under attack. That is a shame.

Divorce is what happens when two parties cannot agree and get along. It is very common when one party is mature and responsible, and the other one is a reckless spender and has poor values.
Let's get a divorce!

Why cannot it be a peaceful divorce? Why do you want to fight? Let's just split this country up into 4 or 5 new countries and move forward with our new freedom to live and be governed as each new country sees fit. The present way isn't working. People are unhappy. Instead of arguing about who's way is right, let's break it up and show each other.

Hkchas and Grace, you've been filling multiple pages with a war of personal bickering that frequently fills up the latest comments list. I fear this may be discouraging others from participating because it steers so many discussions off topic and often dominates the page. Our policies do discourage monopolizing a discussion but I'm a little bit at a loss how to react to that issue because that is so hard to judge objectively. Nevertheless, I feel this really has become problematic. Perhaps it would be best to ignore the other entirely and address only the general readers with your views. We've all learned what your beef is with the other's position, and I suspect you know each other's positions well too, so there's no benefit to the general reader when you chase the other all over the forum to bicker with him specifically. The general audience isn't learning anything new from it. This forum is not intended to be about "winning" an argument with the other or outposting the other; it's about making your views known to all readers. Feel free to use private IM to pursue your disagreements with each other further. Thanks for giving this your consideration. --Rick Brown, online editor, News Tribune

This bothers me Mr. Brown. While you have removed some of my comments and Grace's and others from this discussion or another discussion (I know I wasn't part of this one) As far as I can tell there is only one commenter that runs through them all as a common denominator.

I suspect if the grandiose "out of context" personal attacks were limited the various discussions would cease to degenerate at the rate they do.

It always takes at least two to tango. Sometimes when the second party won't tango, the situation de-escalates and doesn't spiral downward. As far as removing comments, sometimes it's cut and dried but many times it's an imperfect judgment call. I started to do some of that type of house cleaning, then realized the volume of posts today, so I decided to plead for discretion rather than me trying to make that many flawed decisions. As always, if a post was removed for some small thing but also had other relevant elements in it, feel free to repost those relevant points. Not a perfect solution but I hope that makes some bit of sense.

I appreciate your comments online editor - often times when I read a post with personal bickering/attacks, I feel like I wasted my time b/c that's all the post contained. A little bit of a beef, though. The other day I posted a question in which I intended to challenge what appeared to me to be a jump to judgement by a couple of posters. It was removed. It did not seem to be an attack to me. However, it seems that it did to you based on the fact it was removed. Anyway, I may continue to challenge as I did then and if you find it offensive or off track enough to remove, please let me know so I may understand. Thanks again.
