Jays go through game situations at scrimmage

Jefferson City football coach Ted LePage wanted his team’s scrimmage Friday to have a “game-like” feel. But other coaches had to remind him what month it was.

“You’re never where you want to be,” LePage said following his team’s scrimmage at Adkins Stadium. “All the coaches keep reminding me it’s July 27.”

As to be expected for the end of July, there were plenty of teachable moments during the controlled scrimmage. Coaches spent the scrimmage on the field working on formations and barking out signals.
