Cole County signs contract for 14 warning sirens

The Cole County Commission has approved purchasing 14 new outdoor warning sirens for the county, but some of the sites still are being determined.

By a vote of 2-1 Wednesday, the commission contracted with Meyer Electric for sirens in unincorporated areas of the county and in communities in the county that have signed agreements to help pay for sirens in their towns.
