Search is on for new LU president

Lincoln University's consultant in its search for a new president is confident the school will be able to make its choice by early next year.

Charles Taylor, executive vice president of the Chicago-based Hollins Group Inc., on Tuesday gave LU's Presidential Search Committee members a proposed timeline showing the school announcing the new president in February.

LU President Carolyn Mahoney is retiring next month.

Curators still haven't named anyone to run the school until the next president is chosen.
