Lincoln women hire new assistant

It took a little while, but Nicole Collier finally has someone to sit next to her on the bench.

Collier, the new women's basketball coach at Lincoln University, moved up from assistant to take over the head job May 21. The two-month search for her replacement ended Tuesday when Collier announced Kiel Unruh would be the Blue Tigers' assistant coach.

Unruh brings some Division I experience to the Division II program, as he spent last season as the video coordinator for Stephen F. Austin, a member of the Southland Conference. There, Unruh handled the editing and breakdown of both the Ladyjacks' opponents and the Ladyjacks' practice film.
