Erin Sprenger skates her way to one of just four scholarships in U.S.

When Erin Sprenger says she has been ice skating all her life, she really means it.
“Fifteen years ago I stepped onto a smooth, slippery sheet of ice,” she said. “My blades gripped the frozen water and I was immediately hooked.”
Sprenger was 3 when she first got on the ice.
“My older sister, Megan, got started skating and I wanted to be like her,” she said, smiling.
Since then Sprenger has spent much of her young life at the Washington Park Ice Arena performing and eventually teaching young people how to skate.
Recently, Sprenger was one of four young people in the country to receive a college scholarship for her skating abilities.
