An Owensville man was listed in critical condition Saturday at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, after he was hurt in an ATV accident about 2 p.m. Saturday.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reported David A. Turner, 31, was operating a 2002 Yamaha Raptor all-terrain vehicle when it ran off the right side of Bowen Cemetery Road and hit a fence.
Investigators said Turner wasn't using a safety device and was thrown from the ATV in the collision.
He was flown to the St. Louis hospital by helicopter.
The accident scene is in southwestern Gasconade County, on the northwest side of the Bourbeuse River - southwest of Owensville.
