Fair offers six days, nights of family fun

At the Jefferson City Jaycees Fairgrounds

The 2012 Jefferson City Jaycees Fair will be held July 30 to Aug. 4 at the Jefferson City Jaycees Fairgrounds. The event will feature food, carnival rides and games, competitions and live entertainment for all ages.

The themes for this year's fair are "Too Much Fun" and "Highlight of the Year."

"These slogans encompass all that the fair is," said fair chairman Mike Freeman. "It truly is "the highlight of the year' for many and always "too much fun.'"

One of the highlights of this year will be the "Remembering our Fallen" memorial in the exhibit hall. It is a traveling memorial to all of Missouri's fallen military from Sept. 11, 2001, until now. This is the first year that "Remember our Fallen" will be displayed during the fair.
