Antique dolls to make return trip to JC
Mystery surrounds how hand-made collection made it to New York
Sunday, July 22, 2012
The Cole County Historical Society is being given a collection of antique, hand-made dolls — and a bit of a mystery.
The society’s counterpart in Medina, N.Y., came across the collection of 54 dolls made by a former Jefferson City resident. A woman affiliated with the Medina Historical Society will hand-deliver the collection to the society.
The Cole County Historical Society will host a public reception for the doll collection from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday at the society, 109 Madison St. The free event includes refreshments.
