Old Town program has loaned about $1 million, board told

More than a dozen properties in Jefferson City have benefited from the Old Town Loan Program.

The privately-funded program supported by five local lenders has advanced about $1 million so far, board member Ron Medin told the Old Town Revitalization Company on Wednesday. Those numbers are expected to pick up after the public awareness campaign is rolled out.

The company approved funds from the $10,000 designated from the city to create identifier signs and information panels to be placed at homes for sale in the Old Town area.
