Nurski holds lead in Stroke Play Championship

Brad Nurski went low for the second consecutive day, enabling him to open a healthy lead at the midway point of the Missouri Stroke Play Championship at the Jefferson City Country Club.

The St. Joseph resident became the only player to post consecutive rounds in the 60s when he made his way around the par-72 layout with a 66, following up Monday’s opening round of 69.

Nurski’s total of 135 was five strokes better than the 69-71—140 put up by Nick Wilson, who recently finished his playing days at the University of Missouri and is alone in second place.

One stroke back of Wilson in third is former Jefferson City Jay and Missouri Tiger Kirk Farmer, who followed up his opening-round 70 with a 71.

The event concludes today with 36 holes of play.
