Local squad closes tourney on high note

BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. — The Jefferson City Post 5 American Legion Seniors closed out play in the Blue Springs Wood Bat Tourney on Saturday with a 9-0 win against the Lee’s Summit Bulldogs.

Post 5 pounded out 10 hits. Deion Hughes and Nevan Woehr had two hits apiece.
