Roughly 25 children turned out for the Justin Gage Events Day on Saturday, far fewer than organizers had anticipated.

The event, put on by the Twelve Starz Foundation and held at Jefferson City High School, took on a new format this year, featuring several sporting activities for both boys and girls. That contrasts to previous years, where the foundation held football camps for boys only.

The Twelve Starz Foundation was founded by former NFL wide receiver Justin Gage, who played for the Tennessee Titans. Gage is a graduate of Jefferson City High School and the University of Missouri.
