Appeals court says Busch suit stays in SE Mo.

ST. LOUIS (AP) - The Missouri Court of Appeals has affirmed a lower court ruling to keep a civil lawsuit against August Busch IV in Cape Girardeau.

Busch, the former CEO of Anheuser Busch, was sued last year on behalf of the minor son of his girlfriend, Adrienne Martin, who died in 2010 of an accidental drug overdose at Busch's home.

The wrongful death lawsuit was originally filed in St. Louis by the child's father, Dr. Kevin Martin and was then transferred to Cape Girardeau, where Martin was living. Adrienne Martin parents, Christine Trampler and Larry Eby, later joined the lawsuit and want it moved back to St. Louis County.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports (http://bit.ly/PSMTNH) that the appeals ruling Thursday, however, upholds the lower court's decision to keep the case in Cape Girardeau.
