Post 5 drops opener in wood bat tournament

BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. — The Jefferson City American Legion Post 5 Seniors managed just five hits Wednesday in a 3-0 loss to Oak Grove Post 379 in their opener in the Blue Springs Wood Bat Tournament.

The game was scoreless until the sixth. Post 5 loaded the bases with one out, but failed to score. Oak Grove then loaded the bases in the bottom of the inning with two outs, then cleared them with a triple.
