State and local officials will officially cut the ribbon to open the new Missouri 179/Mission Drive interchange located between Route C and Edgewood Drive in Jefferson City at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
The ribbon cutting will take place rain or shine, and the public is invited to attend.
The new interchange will provide access to a new St. Mary's Health Center development.
Emery Sapp and Sons Inc. of Columbia was awarded the $7.4 million contract to complete the work. The interchange was a joint effort among the Missouri Department of Transportation, Jefferson City and Cole County.
Mission Drive, the $2.5 million access road to the hospital, is being funded by the city and county.
