Two injured in JC rollover accident

Two people were injured after a two vehicle crash Monday morning in Jefferson City.
According to police reports, at approximately 7:11 a.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Dunklin Street and Jefferson Street for a rollover accident.
Christopher Hubbard, 35, Jefferson City, was going west on Dunklin while Thomas Asel, 78, Jefferson City, was going north on Jefferson.
Asel stopped for a red light, then proceeded through the red light into the intersection and struck Hubbard.
Hubbard’s vehicle was then pushed sideways and struck a fire hydrant and a utility pole.
It bounced off the utility pole and struck another pole.
Hubbard’s vehicle finally came to rest on its roof.
Hubbard was treated for moderate injuries and Asel was treated for minor injuries.
Asel was wearing a seat belt. Hubbard was not.
