Lincoln runners advance in Jamaica Olympic qualifying

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Two runners with Lincoln ties moved another step closer toward earning spots in the Olympics with their results in the Jamaican Olympic Trials on Saturday.

Former Blue Tiger Dane Hyatt finished second in the semifinals of the 400-meter dash, clocking in at 45.26. The top qualifier for today’s final posted a time of 45.23.

On the women’s side, two runners with Lincoln ties competed in the semifinals of the 400-meter dash, with one moving on and one being eliminated. Former Blue Tiger Davita Prendergast qualified seventh for today’s finals with a time of 52.11.
