Talk about mission impossible for Jefferson City.

Not only were the injury-plagued Jays up against fifth-ranked Rock Bridge, a team that handed No. 1 Nixa its only loss of the season, they were facing a Bruins squad getting its big star back.

Missouri recruit Travis Jorgenson played for the first time since Dec. 20 after having surgery to repair an injured left thumb and helped Rock Bridge defeat Jefferson City 68-46 Tuesday night at Fleming Fieldhouse.

"They're very good," Jefferson City coach Blair Thompson said. "They have all the pieces. Fundamentally, they're nearly flawless. They handle the ball well, they play together, attack and their role players understand their roles. They don't try to do too much. They play to their strengths and that makes them awfully tough to beat, especially when playing from behind."
