Holts Summit group to discuss gas-to-propane vehicle conversion

Companies and individuals who want to cut their gasoline purchase costs can attend a meeting tonight in Holts Summit to learn more about converting engines powered by gasoline to propane.

The free meeting, which is open to the public, will be hosted by the Holts Summit Community Betterment Association. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. in the community room of MidAmerica Bank, located along U.S. 54 at the intersection of Center Street and Karen Drive.

Pam Murray, president of the Holts Summit Community Betterment Association, said there is interest in converting engines powered by gasoline to propane gas.

Murray said two representatives of the Missouri Propane Gas Association will be at the event to make a presentation and answer questions. They will discuss conversion to cheaper propulsion for vehicles and commercial equipment, including lawn mowers.
