Bell was honored Friday night by the Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce at the 2012 Chamber Gala for her contributions as a young professional. Bell was the first ever recipient of the chamber’s new Fast Forward Award, which recognizes a young professional who has made valuable contributions to the community and the chamber through volunteer service.

Bell, a native of Jefferson City, has become involved in several community organizations, even helping begin an internship initiative with the chamber aimed at attracting more young professionals to the area. Jefferson City START, she said, looks to connect students with available internships in the area, as well as provide a fun learning experience for interns.
