Dear Editor:

The powers that be and/or the elitist machine seem to be like a gambler, they've gone all in on the transformation of Jefferson City. It's all about uptown, old town, MSP, Millbottom and St. Mary's hospital. The rest of the city doesn't count.

It's all about them looking good and feeling good. And, all this is for young professionals. What an elitist statement! Who said this, an old professional? Shame on you for dissing the majority of us. Sounds like class warfare, ever heard of that? This is snobbery at its best.

All this prettying up may look swell on paper, but in the real world may not pan out so swell. This sets up a scheme where by too many "ifs" are at hand. And, it's always about the "if" factor. Ever heard of shovel ready? Too much may/can happen without oversight, auditing and accountability factored in, and done independently of the city and chambers hand-picked cronies.

It's the elitist machine at work, overreaching and no one independently to keep in check to what's really happening.

To the powers that be, you need to listen up, you are in the minority. Your elitism has really gotten the best of you.
