Strip club sales raise sandwich company's ire

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - The owners of a Las Vegas sandwich shop are asking a Delaware judge to prevent their franchise from being terminated.

The Capriotti's Sandwich Shop company, founded in Delaware, says the Las Vegas shop owners violated their franchise agreement by selling sandwiches to a strip club, which advertised a promotion last fall offering patrons a six-inch Capriotti's sub and a beer for $5.

In a lawsuit filed Wednesday in Delaware's Chancery Court, the shop owners say they never gave permission to the strip club to resell the sandwiches or to use the Capriotti's name without the company's permission.

The shop owners said they thought they were selling the sandwiches to strip club employees, noting that they even were asked to hold the onions because they were affecting the dancers' breath.
