Although no bill has been introduced, the focus of both days’ testimony was Transportation Director Kevin Keith’s suggestion that MoDOT agree to a long-term lease-type contract with a private company, that would rebuild the highway at its expense, then charge tolls to those using the road in order to recover its costs.

The idea of make a toll road out of I-70 is wrong. As much tax as everybody has paid they (MoDot) should be paying us to drive on I-70! Any company that works on our (all of the USA ) roads should have to post a bond in case thier work fails in 10 years! I've seen gravel roads up north that are smoother then I-70 in Missouri!

I disagree, turn the Interstate Highway system over to private industry and get the money away from the politicians.
