County explores redistricting options

Some Cole County residents likely will be switched from the Eastern District to the Western District, changing their County Commission representative.

Like its city and state counterparts, Cole County is working to realign its district boundaries to keep the populations roughly equal, as required after each federal Census.

County commissioners on Wednesday started discussing the new district boundaries proposed by County Clerk Marvin Register, but took no action.
