Playing the preseason Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Assocation favorite isn't exactly the best remedy for a four-game conference losing streak.

It almost was on this night.

Lincoln hung with No. 16 Washburn for the first half, taking taking a one-point lead into halftime. The Lady Blues took over in the second half, rolling to a 73-64 victory Wednesday night at Jason Gym in Jefferson City.

"Physically, we looked a little fatigued tonight and that might have played a part in not being able to knock down shots," Lincoln coach Katie Vaughn said after her team's 38-percent shooting performance. "They beat us in transition two or three times, got easy buckets, just kind of got away from us a little bit. We've got to be able to not let people get easy runs on us."
