Teenager injured in early morning accident

A Jefferson City teenager was listed in critical condition Saturday afternoon at University Hospital in Columbia after crashing his vehicle earlier in the day in the Capital City.

According to police reports, Jeffery Millens, 17, crashed around 4:04 a.m. at Southwest Boulevard and Jefferson Street.

Millens was traveling westbound on U.S. 54 and took the exit onto Southwest and attempted to make a right turn onto Southwest, but was traveling too fast to negotiate the curve.
