Area gridders named to all-state academic teams

The 2011 Missouri Football Coaches Association academic all-state team was recently announced. Several area athletes were selected.

Jefferson City had five players on the Class 6 team — seniors Zach Dumas, Jared Johnson and Amir Demeisi and juniors Thomas LePage and Scott Stegeman.

Helias had three players on the Class 4 team — seniors Levi Rose and Zack Backes and junior Jordan Backes.

Blair Oaks had three players on the Class 2 team — seniors Caleb Roberts and Adam Forck and junior Austin Wilbers.
