Two charged after hit-and-run accident

Two Jefferson City men have been charged in connection with a hit-and-run accident that led to the discovery of stolen items and heroin.

According to court documents, Jason Drinkard, 34, 402 Hart St., was charged with distribution of heroin, possession of heroin and receiving stolen property.

Kenneth Johnson, 38, 8540 Kings Chapel Road, was charged with possession of heroin and receiving stolen property.

Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statements show the hit and run crash occurred around 4 p.m. in the 400 block of Union Street.
