Two charged after drug bust

Two Jefferson City residents have been formally charged after being taken into custody when police served a drug search warrant at their apartment Tuesday morning.

According to court documents, Davone Rucker, 24, was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of diazepam and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Tequila Thompson, 23, was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of diazepam and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police probable cause statements show they went to 1308 W. McCarty St. and seized a bag containing five individually wrapped bags containing heroin and one containing crack cocaine. All were hidden inside a cardboard box in a living room closet.

Gee, I wonder if this is the same Davone Rucker who was just placed on 5 years probation in March 2011 for Dist/Del/Manf/Produce Or Attempt To Or Possess W/Intent To Dist/Del/Manf/Produce A Controlled Substance. Maybe probation wasn't a good idea for him, as it didn't seem to have worked.
