City proposes Greenway extension near JCMG expansion
Wednesday, January 11, 2012
The city is looking at a new greenway extension near Satinwood Drive and Stadium Boulevard, one month after the City Council approved a sidewalk deferral request in the same area from the Jefferson City Medical Group.
At the Parks and Recreation Commission meeting Tuesday, members were updated on the city’s plans to address sidewalk needs in the area. In December, JCMG was approved for a deferral on sidewalks that would have been required with plans for facility and parking expansion. The requirement would have dictated JCMG put sidewalks along West Stadium Boulevard, from the greenway trail to the far southeast corner of JCMG’s property.
Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director Bill Lockwood said since the deferral was approved, city staff had developed three different options to address the pedestrian need in the area, with costs ranging from $216,000 to $50,000.

Stupid is as stupid does. Everyone call your councilman and Parks andRec and complain about this.

Seems they could build some Greenway on the east side of Jefferson one of these days.
