Dear Editor:
I am writing to extend my appreciation to those in the community who decorate their homes with Christmas lights during the holiday season.
Family and I drove around town looking at the various displays.
We were amazed with the amount of time and energy individuals put into making their homes so festive. Some displays even played music and the lights were flashing in sync.
For me, it was a pleasant reminder of my childhood. Each Christmas my parents - typically my father - would drive me and my brothers and sisters about my hometown to enjoy the festive decorations, of course, little did I know at the time, "Santa' was "emptying his bag of presents' under the tree while we made this excursion, but that's another story.
I hope everyone will continue to decorate their homes for the holiday - including Don Boes (Opinion NT Dec. 29,) - because we adults really enjoyed the displays. It is such a treat!
To all of you I say: Thank you - thank you - thank you!
