CRAWFORD COUNTY, Mo. (AP) - Six residents of eastern Missouri are facing child endangerment charges for allegedly putting three young children in a locked shed.
KSDK-TV (http://on.ksdk.com/wQ9IrL) reports that Crawford County deputies responded around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday to a home in a rural area and found six adults inside, including a woman who had been hit on the head.
Deputies heard children yelling and Sheriff Randy Martin says the children were found in a locked shed on the property. The children were ages 1, 2 and 4.
Martin says the shed had been turned into a makeshift room with two beds, but the temperatures was 45 degrees.
The children were placed with other relatives. The injured woman was treated at a hospital, then was among those arrested.
